Thomas Koster works from a first-floor flat on the Marnixstraat in Amsterdam, with a speaker on the windowsill and a mouse that has been replaced four times.
The speaker came first. A canal-facing room is a difficult place to listen in: hard walls, tall windows, a neighbour below. The speakers we stock are chosen for that kind of room — small, placeable within a metre of a wall, angled for a listener sitting an arm's length away. One of them is a sleep machine with a candle-light glow, which is either the least serious product on the site or the most, depending on the night.
The mice came second, out of the same room. Wireless, silent where possible, ambidextrous where the shape allows, and described with the runtime you will get at the volume or the DPI you will actually use rather than the one in the headline.
Orders are shipped from Amsterdam within one to two business days, using carriers that provide tracking, and are dispatched under the store's own name.
